Emily Pulcastro
Director / Writer
Emily Pulcastro is a senior cinema production major at Point Park University. Emily loves telling coming of age stories that help her better understand the world around her. With Home she wanted to emphasize the importance of living in the moment and being happy with where one is in their life. Emily is so excited to share the film with everyone. In the future she will be attending SCAD's Film and Television Graduate Program. She hopes that viewers of Home take away the message of enjoying the little thing and people in your life.
Travis Platt
Producer
Travis Platt is a producer, director, and editor, who was born in Blairsville, PA, and currently located in Pittsburgh, PA. With a passion for video production since the age of ten, Travis knew that filmmaking was the career path he wanted to take. Once he reached high school, he went to a vocational tech school, where he won numerous film awards and had his work shown in film festivals all over the country. Travis was the SkillsUSA President and spoke at his graduation, and since then, has worked towards his career in film production, primarily focusing on producing and distribution. Travis has advanced his career greatly working for the Pittsburgh Film Office, Point Park University’s Online Division, the Pittsburgh Human Resource Association, and more all in video production, as well as creating live concert videos for nationally recognized artists. Travis has worked on over a dozen film productions, and on Home, Travis will be serving as Producer for academic credit, and is excited to help make this dream a reality!
Sean Malady
DP
Sean Malady is a Cinematographer based outside of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. He loves to use the camera as the primary story telling tool and provide the best visuals for any project he works on.
Emily Brosky
Editor
Emily Brosky is a senior cinema production major with a concentration in editing at Point Park University. Since her first cut 9 years ago, she has been in love with editing. She is very excited to be a part of such a lovely crew and to edit Home. She hopes everyone will be able to take something away from the film and “stop and smell the roses” once in awhile.
Carson Paul
Production Designer
Carson Paul graduated as a Cinema Production major in 2021. He focused in Production Design. Carson is Inspired by the raw beauty of realism, his works tend to reflect the daily life of everyday people. Post graduation Carson now works as an interior designer and production designer in the Pittsburgh area.
Steven Miller
Sound Designer
When I first came to point park I had every intention of being an editor, but as I progressed my education through school I started to become more and more fascinated by sound design, and my focus shifted sophomore year. Now I have worked on countless films for sound, and I’ve enjoyed every single one of them. Home was a fun and laid back set that I thoroughly enjoyed, it’s always a pleasure to work with such talented people, I’m very excited to see the final product and I know everyone else is too.
Betty Stolar
Plays: Danny Young
Betty Stolar is an actress and independent filmmaker based in Pittsburgh, PA. She began acting in the fall of 2020 and has since acted in numerous independent and student shorts films and most recently starred as Pickles in the feature I Want To Live On Mars. She also completed production on her short film For Finley which she wrote, directed and produced. Betty is thrilled to be a part of Home and to have been able to work with such a talented cast and crew.
Mike Leahy
Plays: Nick
Mike Leahy is so grateful to be a part of the cast of Home. Mike is an actor from Pittsburgh who loves to play video games and watch Marvel movies! He is soon to graduate from Kent State University in the Musical Theatre BFA program. His favorite thing about working on set is being around the friends he has grown up with and making something creatively beautiful. Liam Donley
Plays: Logan
Liam Donley (Logan) is an aspiring lighting designer from Pittsburgh, PA. Currently a Performing Arts- Theatre major and Brand Communications minor at Clemson University, Liam focuses in lighting but intends to pursue all aspects of theatre. Liam has experience on stage, having acted in shows such as The Clemson Players' productions of A Midsummer Night’s Dream and The Laramie Project. He would like to thank everyone involved with Home for such an amazing first on camera experience, and looks forward to any future possibilities! His mission statement is "To encourage the conversation of truthful representation of those who have previously been underrepresented and misrepresented, and to prove that the arts can be home to all when it is accessible."
Nolan Peters
Plays: Trent
Nolan Peters is so excited to be a part of Home. Nolan attends IUP for entertainment. He was the lead performer in Press X To Start and is excited to continue his acting career. After graduating Nolan is excited to discover his place in the entertainment world.
